Hi folks,

Not sure who but I suspect kid next door or post man... have tried to squeeze past car on bike and accidentally caught the drivers side wing mirror pushing it back on itself towards the rear of the car.

It has cracked the bottom right corner of the plastic coloured housing that as it's now cracked looks as if it just clips over the rest of the mirror. The mirror works perfectly still and the glass is undamaged.

I popped into my local dealer at weekend and the cover is available on its own and comes ready painted to fit at a cost of £63 plus VAT which I thought was pretty reasonable.

However, fitting would be £60 plus VAT. Does anybody know if this cover does indeed just clip on and is therefore a DIY job? Don't want to shell out £72 if I could do it myself in two mins.

Thanks in advance.

£60? How does that work? MB wanted £1100 for a new carbon mirror for mine. I accept the carbon fibre is more but I gathered a regular housing was around £600 unpainted.
