Driver's side headlamp (halogen/LED type) needs replacing due to what looks like circular stress cracks - maybe caused by stone impact? Wondering what's involved in changing the unit over/adjusting beam. Does anyone have any experience with this model? Many thanks

You need to make sure the 2D barcode on old and new is same (as the LED controller is set up to match the headlight using this barcode) - otherwise it needs re-coding or the LEDs can be driven with wrong current. You'll need to take the bumper off, and this can be a pain on SLK/SLC, and then measure all the gaps correctly when putting new one back in.

Cheers

Thanks Richard. The existing light and replacement one share the same part number so It should be a suitable replacement. Pain that the front bumper has to come off! I could just about manage to replace the dipped beam bulb but can't get to the main beam one. Think I'll fit new build when I take the bumper off. Paul
