I can't deny I flinched slightly at JC's "outrgeous" comments as I watched the wholesome family One Show. Matt and Alex are such sweeties and were clearly squirming.

But hardly a day passes when I would not gladly line some individual against a wall and have them summarily shot. Similarly, I am baffled as to why a routine road accident now requires the polis to close the offending road for hours on end. Remove the bodies, sweep up the debris and move on.

Whilst some of us may be circumspect in expressing our true opinions in public - I'm thinking of some lively discussions at our Scottish GTGs - JC makes it an art form and the latest reaction is just what one would expect from po-faced, chardonnay-sipping socialists...

Whatever you may think, he is an excellent self publicist. And profitable for the country!

It was a JOKE!
People should spend their time complaining about things that matter, some woman wants him charged with inciting hatred...She should get a life or complain about "certain people" who do incite hatred.
What was wrong with the Mexican joke?..Nothing.
Namby pamby PC f***wits ruining the country.

Say what you mean Shaun...:p

In all of this nobody's thought of directly asking any of these Union cretins what their final salary pension scheme + lump sums + severance bonuses are worth? A damn sight more than David C's I'll bet.

Heard on the radio (LBC) he's apologised and said the comments weren't intended to be taken seriously

well it was a stupid thing to say, but i dont expect much else from Clarkson. i dont watch TG anymore, mainly because of how stupid/idiotic its become.

but an over-reaction to sack the guy.

Blimey, what a lot of fuss. - Big deal what he said.
He was aked to give an opinion and he gave one.

Thing with JC he gives a totally OTT responce, knowing people will be shocked & over react.
The irony those fools dont appreciate, that in another time or place his answers might just have been much closer to the truth than they realise or appreciate.

Just laugh & move on. :)

why are they now looking to see what legal loop-holes they can use to cause BBC/Clarkson problems? it stinks. typical of todays claim culture.... ie "claim/get whatever you can squeeze out of a situation".

he obviously meant it as a joke and people who think otherwise should find a sense of humour somewhere.

i'm sure they have enough time yesterday to look for it on their day off.

what really annoys me is that my kids school was closed yesterday, but no one was picketing outside.... all the teachers etc just enjoyed the day off. if they are spending the day protesting and bringing their issues into the public/government eye i'd think differently.

my wife is a nurse and she decided not to strike

In another time or place ? no here today.foolish to complicate things.

I'm offended by people like Graham Norton blasting out innuendos at tea time when kids are watching, yet nothing is said.
Every time JC or top gear crack a joke people are on them like a ton of bricks.

Cartoonists lampoon life every day of every year. If you can't laugh at life, we may as well all be, well, like bankers. I SAID bankers...

In Clarkson's case, we all thought he was a buffoon - all he's done is confirmed it!:dk: :dk:
