How fast can you drive before getting a speeding ticket?

That was interesting, confirmed some long held suspicions of mine about these cameras, doesn't help when doing a ton down the motorway :D:wallbash:

Hardly news.

10% + 2mph has been the nationally advised tolerance limit below which enforcement action is generally not taken for many years. The mistake is to think that enforcement action won't ever be taken below that tolerance threshold.

To be honest I’ve always assumed there was an element of tolerance with speeding.

If you creep up to 33/34 in a 30 it shouldn’t be a big deal. Cameras generally seem to be set logically in that sense. Those gits with hand held radar thingies are more questionable though.

On the motorways I’ll cruise at an indicated 75mph. Never had a problem doing that.

Yup my cousin who is a cop at another European country said you might be unlucky and get fined by someone with power abuse issues. What I say is that at the end of the year police need to rump up prosecution numbers with motorists being easier targets rather than the knife and gun gangs.
