I will soon need another car and was wondering how good the later shape A class is ?
I used to have the early A Class that had half of the engine gearbox tucked under the floor and although a very clever car they could be a Bxxxxxxx to work on. At an age now where I don’t want anything too difficult to do on my cars so asking how good the later versions are?

Thank you

If you’re talking about the current model (2019-) I can’t speak to what they’re like to work on, but they’re pleasant enough to drive and generally reliable. Main irritation seems to be interior rattles, but not all suffer.

One common complaint is that ground clearance is a bit limited, meaning scraping the underside over speed bumps is a “feature” of ownership.
