Hi there.

Tested the drivers heated seat on my W210 and found it to be open circuit.

Tried the (working) passenger side and got a reading of about 2.5 Ohms.

I have 12v at the loom and the switch and fuse are fine.

So it looks like the element is bost.

Hoiw hard is it to replace? Is it like an 'overlay' or is weaved in to the leather seat cover?

Thanks for any replies.

The pad should be a separate item. Be aware that pads differ between cars with cloth and cars with leather so make sure you order the right one for your car. You will need to get the seat covers off to replace them. There are two. One in the back rest and one in the base.

If its leather they are normally sewn into the actual seat cover....

I'll have to set aside a whole saturday and remove the seat and then the cover.

Who knows, maybe I'll find a broken wire.

Thanks.
