That an interior from a 2003 W209 CLK will fit properly into a 2006 W209?

The parts look very similar but I am concerned that changes made as a result of the 2005 facelift will render the project a no go.

Thinking particularly of electrical connections to the front seats.....

i would say i'm they will probably fit - will probably require slight fettling though. anythings possible but depends on how much work you want to put in.....

do you really want to put an 03 interior into an 05 car though?

Thanks for the reply!

Well, the only reasons to do it are:

I only have "Man-made leather" :-(

And....

I can get the entire interior really cheap.

But obviously I don't want a leather interior that I can't use if the electrics and mounting positions are different

if you're happy with some extra work other than just plug & play i would expect anything is possible. unless things are really complicated a multimetre should be able to show what pins are what and whether they have changed.

if its cheap then i would say its worth it and then you can compare old vs new. worst comes to worst couldnt the covers be swapped over and you retain the old frames & motors etc.

i expect all the rest of the stuff like door cards etc are pretty interchangable

it cant be that different being the same model. my experience with facelifts is that usually most stuff is the same fitment - they generally dont want to redesign too much on the way things fit etc... but of course there are exceptions, especially where electrics are concerned.

Do you what, I have another example of why this forum is so damned brilliant :)

I could just whip the covers off and fit them over my own seats :bannana:

Just need to make sure the actual seat bodies haven't changed around the handle area.
