How long?

planning on removing an injector for the cdi. one injector is leaking diesel through the socket through the pins...the plan was to unplug it and run it for a bit so it warms up before I attemp to pull it out. how long can i have the car running with one injector out?

I could leave the plug in and run it but I believe thats what causing a loud sound. sounds bad too
