I'm keen to know how low we all go on our w210s.
There are two measurements to take front and rear. The first is from ground to wheel arch top, this will give the actual height of the body. The second is from wheel centre to wheel arch top, this will indicate the suspension heights.

Front and rear mine are: 24.25 inches and 25.25 respectively from ground. From wheel centre they are 13.75 and 14.75 inches rspectively.
I run standard 16" wheels on an Avantgarde estate.

With enough replies I will prepare a table.

All I know is, when I drive it spiritedly, I keep bottoming it! (cue the jokes..)

Andy. Get your tape out!!

2001 Avantgarde amg monoblocks, front 25/13" and rear 25.5/14 inchs.

Tyres front 235 40 zr18
Rears 265 35 zr18

Thanks for the reply. Just thought mine is an estate so can't really compare the rears with saloons. Interestingly at 13" your fronts are .75" lower than mine, but you obviously run a greater diameter wheel/tyre combo.

Hey there mine is a E200k 01 avantgrade , with sport line suspension 17 inch MB wheel , and it sits at 25 1/2 at the front and 25 3/4 at the rear .

Tyre size shouldnt effect the second measurement as its from the centre of the hub to the wing and only spring length would alter this.

Just for science;) Fronts 25.5" & 13.5", Rears 25.5" & 13.5"
1998 E280 Avantgarde saloon running 235x40x18's

Tyre size shouldnt effect the second measurement as its from the centre of the hub to the wing and only spring length would alter this.

That's why I have asked for this measurement.

Now measure from wheel centre. Thanks.

Tyre size wont affect the first either as the rolling diameter will be the same for the correct tyre / wheel combos.

It will be interesting to see what the measurements come in at :)

Assuming correct wheel/tyre combos are used.

Well so far everyones is roughly the same.

I have edited the tyre size in mine in case that makes any difference:)

The car's on axle stands at the moment so can't measure, but it sits on MB springs...

Just spent a week in gloriously sunny Donegal. Crashing and scraping along country roads. I looked at the under side of the engine cover and it's almost scraped through. I can't live like this, even at home a small hump taken at more than 3mph leads to a big bang on the other side.

So, is there something wrong? Dampers or springs, what do you think? Or maybe fit 5 pip rubbers?

I would say both your dampers and springs are worn out and soggy. You will be surprised by the change after new ones are installed.

Sorry for late reply, I missed this origanlly, double

Standard car AFAIK.

wheel centre to arch - 14.75"
Ground to arch - 26.5"

Why are we measuring in inches :cool::doh:

Come in to the 21st century:D.
