People talk about MPG but just wanna know how many miles people get with £20 worth of fuel.

So soon as I see the fuel light appear I reset the mileage clock so when the fuel light comes back on again that is how many miles I get from what ever ££ I put in.

E350 coupe Bluetech
134.9p per litre diesel

£20 got me110 miles.

CL55 AMG
around 72 miles based on 360 miles to tank @ £100ish to fill up

CL55 :) not bad at all. I know a guy who has a focus ST who gets around that for £20. Haha.

I think mine would just about get to the end of the street. :D Seriously though I have never just put £20 of petrol in the tank, I'll try that next time!

Your method of measurement is somewhat unreliable, but given those figures, 33.75mpg. Doesn't sound too good at all. :(

I couldn't do with only putting £20 in, I would be at the filling station literally every day.

I get about 70 miles for £20 worth of fuel out of my C55 (W202), and though it isn't a Merc I get about 150 miles in my Audi Cab 3.0TDI.

About 100/110 miles in my 124 24v Diesels. More in the summer.

About 10 lamp posts to the gallon in my 300 24v 124 Petrol Coupe. I love play time.

I could get 200 in my insignia but that would barely move the notch on the fuel gauge in the E270, especially as it has the 80 litre fuel tank on it! £125 to fill up!!!!

I brim it, rather than put small amounts in, but the ML does 13-14 MPG when tootling around, which equates to 40-45 miles for £20 (calculated).

Based on last fillup.

£70.43 to fillup after 442.5 miles since last fill.

£1.339 / litre
52.6 litres
442.5 miles

= 125 miles for £20 (or 14.9 litres)

50/50 mix of urban and dc/mway.

I average 170 miles on £20 but mainly motorway commute.200cdi be.
The method of putting a set amount in when the warning light comes on isnt that accurate as it depends on how far you have to drive to fuel up. What if youre on a motorway with 20 miles to go.

£20 mmm, might be enough to get me out of the garage.

Sent from my GT-I9300 using MBClub UK

I never put in as little as £20 unless I'm topping up prior to a long journey, but now in a totally rural location and based on petrol at £1.31 and 24 and 20 mpg respectively for the SL and SE, 80 and 67.
Both of which I think highly respectable for 5 litre V8s.
My wife's CLK320 is closer to the SE than the SL, probably says more about her power on/power off driving style than the car!

:bannana:Hi, about 80-100 if I have a strong tail wind.
