E350 D6 Cab December 2010:

1. Coolant pump problem due to samcat sensor issue
2. Parking sensors going mental beause of samcat sensor
3. Gearbox clunking in between moving from D to R due to software
4. Hesitation on gearbox, big delay on moving off when in R
5. Dash pod rattles like mad
6. Brushed aluminium trim on tonneau cover started to corrode
7. Various roof mechanism sensors & switches failed
8. Wind deflector unbolted itself
9. Not really an issue with the car as such but MB damaged two of my alloys so they're in the process of being repaired

All issues except 5 and 9 fixed, not bad for a brand new car....!

GL350 CDI January 2010:

1. Rusting wheel bolts, replaced twice.
2. Rusting brake calipers, replaced.
3. Corroded roof rails, replaced.

All resolved no further issues.

On point 4 - hesitation when pulling away, try pulling right paddle immediately prior to pulling away (when in auto), you will feel the car engage and it pulls immediately. Very useful when pulling out into traffic or at roundabout - this delay used to drive me mad but all good now...

1. Rear passenger window wire snapped
2. Passenger footwell Airvent not working
3. Front Drivers side foglight glass smashed
4. Rust on the rear drivers side wheelarch, where it meets the bumper

w204 250 cdi - Brought new in December '10 with 8000 miles..

- Sat NAV Antenna (at 100 miles)
- Rear Parking Sensor lights (at 7000 miles)
- ECU (at 6000 miles)
- Common Fuel Rail (at 6000 miles)
- All Fuel Injectors (at 6000 miles)
- Wiring Lume (Sp?) (at 6000 miles)
- Diesel Particular Filter (at 6000 miles)

Currently booked next week for the APS50 to be looked at, randomly displaying distances on display in Miles and on Speedo in Km and reading in both km/meters and miles/yards

I rarely have any issues with any of my MB's or any that I have owned.

My C43 has a minor oil cooler leak but that's it.

I forgot about the blue bits coming off my bonnet badge :(

My 2009 E coupe:

Passenger seatbelt hander, broken (goes to hand seat belt but one part has snapped off and as such doesn't work properly)
Push button to activate hander - doesn't work (possibly as a result of fault above)
NAV 50 - rubbish (but I guess works, technically)
Parking sensors go haywire when heavy rain
Mercedes Benz badge on bonnet has paint flaking off

That's appalling for a 40k plus car...

1. Front foglights.
2. Rain sensing wipers.
3. 6 CD changer.
4. ABS, ESP turned off.
5. Rusty front wings.
6. Rusty door tops.
7. Rusty rear arches.
8. Knocking front nearside suspension.

Rust: front wings, doors, boot.

Missing switches on door for memory seat.

Intermittent limp mode, currently fixed but for how long who knows.

Both rear alloys porous

Fuel pump on last legs.

BAS/ESP warnings

A/c hotter than hell.

Blower motor irregular.

Brake warning even though new discs, pads, sensors, loom 2 months ago.

Cd player only plays 1 disc out of 6

Atf not changed since I don't know.

Wing mirrors and door panels kicked in by previous owner, need tidying/non-halfords mirrors.

Exhaust back box corroding

No fan fowl.

2 blades missing on fan

Missing underguard, other than front cover.

Lcd temp/time displays look like the predator's nuclear bomb countdown timer.

Bonnet latch missing as is lever to activate pop-up, and it isn't able to stay shut without a fight.

That's about it.

1. Front foglights.
2. Rain sensing wipers.
3. 6 CD changer.
4. ABS, ESP turned off.
5. Rusty front wings.
6. Rusty door tops.
7. Rusty rear arches.
8. Knocking front nearside suspension.

9. Leaking hydraulic line to SLS over rear axle, meaning loss of fluid and power steering.

Current:-
Front SAM unit
Probable EIZ
Rusty front doors
Rusty rear Arches

Recent :-
Fuel Filter
Rear Discs and pads,
Anti Roll bar bushes,
Rocker cover gaskets,
Brake fluid.

Last year:-
Rear SAM unit and battery. Since getting her in Dec. 2008 she has been hit 3 times, whilst stationary.

Maybe I should go back to a Honda, or try a Lexus or BMW - Just kidding folks.

Props to Ollie and Jack at PCS for keeping the costs down

Why aren't the women in the bottom two photos in the buff?

Sneakily copied and saved before the mods get their hands on them :)
