I had two new front tyres fitted yesterday and noticed my front pads were a bit low. So i ordered a new set from Eurocarparts (with the mbclub discount :thumb:) and fitted them this afternoon but noticed that i only have a wear sensor on the nearside front ? The wiring seems to be in place up to the caliper on both sides but is only one sensor the norm?

Yes that's normal 1 on the front offside 1 on the rear

Not relevent to your model but I was working on my brakes today and noted that I had two wear sensors on the NSF and one on the OSF, go figure.

As far as I'm concerned brake pad wear does not creep up on you so why do I need the sensors anyway!!

In my opinion my fronts pads were low enough to change but there was still a good mil or so before the sensor contacted. So i agree it does make the sensor somewhat unneccesary.

Interesting. In the US version W202 at least, we have one wear sensor with every caliper. i.e. We have 4 sensors.
