How much gearbox fluid?? in V230 V class

Hi all i have just changed the ZF auto gearbox and tourqe converter in a friends petrol V230. i have got the right spec oil from opie oils (see google) there was only 5 3/4 litres came out the old gearbox (not inc converter) I have put 7 litres in so far via the 8mm hex key plug at the rear of the gearbox. i dont want to put too much in but i dont want to put too little in. can anyone please help its on the drive looking at me

Ok i phoned merc 8.1 litres inc the converter or 4.3 a quick flush

why did you change it ? i thought it a 'for life' oil ??

It had to be drained before TNT would pick it up.

any idea what spec the power steering fluid is?

Did you change it using a jack or car ramps?
