Personally I'd rather spend much less and make my CE300-24 MOT passable.

Id say around £4k would be reasonable. Trouble is, apart from sitting in a garage, what could you do with it!
Maybe Totally ruin it and modify it to drift spec!

I used to get 340's as loaners from the dealer sometimes, as said the handling is limited, though you can barrel into a roundabout at any speed and the front end will grip as the back wheel lifts off and bleeds speed off.

I saw the article originally ... unclear what happened about the damage mentioned

This 27-year-old Volvo is being sold in pristine condition after being driven just 132 miles by its only owner - who kept it in his garage after a minor scrape with a bollard.

Was it repaired? If so not quite as 'original' as suggested. If it wasn't repaired then it's not "in pristine condition", is it?
