Hi guys, I have a 62 plate C63 coupe and have found “Mercedes apps” while looking through the menu and want to explore this further, but o don’t know how to connect to it.

My phone is an iPhone 11 Pro Max on an unlimited data contract, so I can’t see it being my phone.

I have downloaded the Command manual and, frankly, it’s gibberish.

Can anyone point me on the right direction?

Thanks,
Tom

I briefly tried the same and couldn't get it to work either, figured I would never use the Internet in any case so moved on. Haven't tried the linguatronic yet but not sure how useful that would be either. Sorry not helpful.

I’d never use the internet either, but I just wanted to explore the menu and see what’s in there.

Turns out that you need a properly old phone to do it unfortunately. Like a BlackBerry Bold (which I had in 2010), an old Nokia phone from the same era or the latest phone you can have is a Samsung Galaxy S6 I believe. There is only a list of four manufacturers... I believe the last being LG.

So no chance.

At least we’ve found out though 👍🏻

Connectuon to the Internet via iPhone isn't supported on your COMAND Online NTG4.5. Only Android phones are supported.

Support for Internet connection via iPhone was introduced in 2014 with the COMAND Online NTG4.5 Gen3 (aka NTG4.7).

That said, there aren't many apps anyway for NTG4.5: weather forecast, Internet radio, online search, and the ability to send destinations to the car from a Windows PC.

You could get yourself an old Android phone with a simcard if you want to experiment with the apps.
