How To change W204 Wing Mirrors

i have been looking for a detailed explanation like yours, i have just the same car as you w204, i need to knw where i can get the second hand mirrors and if there is any specifications. i want the face lift and i need the new mirrors please let me hear from you....

That's a right handy bit of workmanship and made to look very straightforward too with a final result that looks well impressive. My W204 has the bigger mirrors but I like them. I like that they are bigger. I like that I can see more and I had never really noticed the noise or considered it to be a nuisance. Each to their own though and well done!

Been debating this swop for ages on my 2008 model. Will any of the pre and post new style mirrors fit without wiring/loom or coding changes?
I have a set from a 2012 W204 C220cdi Sport (same model) in the right colour but am unsure if they are a direct swop as you have done, or if I'll need to change wiring/loom or have coding done. Car still under MB extended warranty so if they are not a direct swop I don't want to fit them.

Go to search4carparts.com then select car and do the 'exterior mirror' search - it will search in english/german/etc on eBay and you can find some sensibly priced ones from broken vehicles.

Remember that if you have memory or folding you need memory / folding mirrors, and if you have dimming you need a right hand dimming glass etc and a mirror with the wiring for the dimming connection.

A long time ago left and right mirrors were different with and without dimming but its all sensible now - I think same is true of W204

Regarding the wing mirror upgrade.

Hi,

I own a 2010 model Benz W204 C230 which has a manual fold wing mirror as you had previously, if I upgrade it with the new face-lifted wing mirror do we get the Auto fold option with it. Is that possible for us to do the Open & Close operation from inside without doing it manually, am really fed up with these manual wing mirror that to in Benz. Kindly guide me.
