How to check for Digital tuner / TV?

I've just got my 2007 SL55, it has a TV module ( I think) as I can select TV from the Comand screen, but it won't change from channel 67 and displays no image.

So, is this because it is an analog tuner?
Is there a digital tuner included within later Comand units at all?
Or are these always separate units on Comand systems?

If you can access the datacard (from MB or from here) it will show the TV tuner as a numbered option - if it's not on the datacard then it's not present.

On mine it's shown as 863 TV Tuner (digital and analogue reception).

Thanks, I'm not sure what you mean by data card?

But I do think there's a tuner, because on my old SL350 (that I p/ ex'd for the 55) , when I hit the TV button on the Comand, the message was "TV not found" or similar.

The 55 does not display this, but does display a fairly blank channel select screen with a couple of directional arrows and the number 67. But I can't move up or down channels.

Is yours Digital through the Comand unit or do you have a separate digital box?

The datacard is a list of the build spec, with all options separated out, so you can see how it left the factory.

I don't know whether the tuner is part of COMAND or separate.

Thanks for that link, managed to get it in English and get data card info..... Looks like my TV is analog though... And some interesting specs, can these be trusted to be accurate?

What is ;
619 Cornering illumination? (Adaptive headlights?)
