Did you know that connecting the car to the diagnostic can blow up the computer. Well according to one dealer service agent .... that is one reason why I must be careful to explain my fault before I bring the car in.
The fault was simply the "navigation activation for heads up display in the instrument cluster". A very common modification even to new cars pre-delivery.
I took it to another dealer, they did it for free. No risk of explosions there. They got out of the car after the test drive and were amazed it was working fine... yet there was no visible aerial.
