I don`t know if this has already been posted before or will be useful to anyone but though i would post.

I wanted to find my VIN without having to wait until i got home to dig out my details so this is what i did:

i went to this site, i`m sure others will work as well

247 Spares - Buy Cheap Car Parts Online! - UK

Type in your reg and click "find my vehicle details".

On the next page, (presuming its identified the correct car), right click and select view source page

click CTRL F and a search window will open

search VIN

Just typed my reg in and it's down as an Audi S8. It was, but I got rid of in December 2012.

The same plate was then on a Jaguar XFR for 12 months and is now on my Merc, so the site may not be 100% accurate?

I remember reading this a while back but it seemed to have stopped working, but it just worked for me, thanks

Try this one, it's Audi but returns VIN for any marque

https://www.audiextendedwarranty.co.uk/Login/Index

This is what I normally use, did seem to go down around xmas time but is working again :thumb:

Well, just tried that Audi one and that wouldn't have it either. Starting to get paranoid then thinking that my car's off the radar and due a pull next time it's out.

Happily it does exist according to the Juratek site, so thanks for that. :)

Off to check MID now just to be 100% :D

possibly that site`s info source is out of date?

Had me worried too until I realised I was placing a space in the reg number!

The data base is old on that site.
