How to fit AMG accelerator pedal?

Hi all

I have just ordered the fancy SS and rubber stud pedals but I am a little confused how to fit the Accelerator pedal. The others just slip on but this one is more complicated and I don't want to break anything down there.

Anyone done this that could give me a few pointers?

The accelerator pedal I got was the whole thing (not just a cover). Remove the pin at the top (as above), let the pedal fall forward, remove the two plastic nuts. Reverse to fit the new pedal assembly.

Bill thats what confused me as I got a complete assembly.

Where are the two plastic nuts located?

Also a smear of washing up liquid on the brake and parking brake rubbers gets them to fit a lot easier.

mats or carpets?

Cant see how there can be screws under the carpets. The only bit I'm unsure of is how to connect the base of the pedal (two holes?), I understand the cotter pin bit.

There is a plastic cap (I think) hiding the nut heads

I also recieved the whole assembly for the gas pedal and it was a lot lighter than the old one , not sure why

Remove the mats. There were 2 plastic bolts connecting the pedal to the floor, undo them and remove the cotter pin at the top of the pedal and refit the new ones
