In case anyone has the desire to drill holes in the interior of their car, here is how to fit the mounts and trim rings for the Mercedes wind deflector.

Parts needed are:

A2388681000 TRIM RING x1
A2388680900 TRIM RING x1
A2058680200 MOUNT x1
A2058680100 MOUNT x1

Cost was approximately £23 + postage

The Trim rings come with the bolts already in place, so these don't need ordering separately. When I ordered the parts, A2388681000 was not available, so I ordered 2x A2388680900 instead.
This made it a bit tricker and the finish is not great. I am hoping that the other part will come back into stock in Germany so I can swap it over later.

I used this video for reference and it was spot on. Cabrio supply wind deflector fitting, getting the seat base out requires you to push it back, before pulling it up to 'unhook' it. No amount of just pulling at the thing will release it. It's probably not necessary to remove the base and back side pad, as everything just un-clips. but it gives you more room. I also had the roof partly raised for space.

Once everything is put back together, the wind deflector clips in place and the bag can be stored behind the seats in the space designed for it.

Thanks . Can you give us a bit of history on this ? This is a recent MB cab model that has (from the factory) zero capacity to fit a wind deflector ?? Or was it an expensive 'tick box' option when ordering new. ?

The wind deflector mounts are fitted to US cars, but not fitted to UK cars.

On the previous model (A207) the mounts were pre-fitted to UK cars.

Typical MB 'WTF !?' . Just delete something useful for no good reason....or because the accounts department demanded it. I can see a reason for having different features on cars for different world markets , but any buffeting in a cabriolet driven in the UK is going to be pretty much the same as if the identical car was being driven in the USA.

Go figure ...as they say over there :p

When ordering the parts, you might need to give the reg for a C Class Cabriolet (A205), otherwise the MB Dealer will come back with 'those parts are not suitable for your car'.
