How to lock the waterpump pulley on a 320cdi om613 ?

I think I have a bad bearing on the waterpump and I am in process of replacing it. Unfortunately I can find away to lock they pulley so I can undo the 8mm hex bolt holding the viscous fan. I have no bolts on the pulley and I can't find any hole to lock it.

Om613 320 cdi straight six diesel.

I locked the tensioner so belt is loose. I removed the fan blades. Been trying for two hours. I'm happy to pay for advice via PayPal. (beer money) to the hero that can help me unlock this problem.

In the rear of spindle flange there should be a hole. push a bent rod through and use the pump casing as the wedge.
