How to remove bin trim? (W/X164)

I'm trying to remove some of my interior trim and come stuck at these pieces (the flip bins in these pictures below).

I thought they would be similar to the ashtray, pull away from the edge but.. can't seem to do it without excessive force. The centre console is still fitted. How do they remove?

Solution = pull harder!

No wonder the W164 is so rattly, all these clip-together parts are constantly moving over the bumps....

Give me a good old nun-n-bolt anyday!
