Hi, finally getting round to sorting out a few niggles, next on the list is the rear air vents in a w203 facelift (c55).

One side the fins had fallen inside and its not repairable the other side is a little cracked and not in great shape. I see on ebay you can buy the whole vent unit for 20quid, but how on earth do you remove it?

I can see lots of videos on you tube of the front vents, but nothing on the rears.

Thank you.

Most likely you need to remove the entire centre console, flip it upside down and you will be able to remove them from the rear.

Got it!

You just remove the lower ashtray, and there are 2 plastic catch lugs, on each side push them in hard with a screwdriver and pull a little up and the back portion comes away, you can then remove the vent assembly.

Something simple for once, haha.
