E220 CDI 2009
I am new here. This is my first post.

Does anyone know how to remove the backcover of the driver seat?

I am driving a E220 CDI 2009 model (W212 I believe). I pulled out the headrest and unplugged the wiring attached to the headrest. I now need to reconnect the wire to stop the dashboard flashing a warning signal (suggesting my front lights malfunctioning which is clearly mistaking).

Thanks in advance.

Has anyone have any information?

I visited a MB dealer today. The sales person told me that there are two screws at the bottom of the back which I need to unscrew. Had a look. Could not find any screws. See attached photos.

Sorted. There are two hidden catches at the bottom of the cover, one on each side. To remove the back cover, lift one bottom corner of the back cover slightly, insert a flat screw driver between the cover and the seat and push it upwards to release the catch. Repeat for the other corner. After both catches are released, pull the cover downwards and remove it. The catches are plastic. So be careful not to apply excessive force to break them.
