Please excuse me if I post this question at the wrong forum and please point me to the right forum, thank you.
I tried to remove the lower cover under the dashboard at the driver side of my 1994 MB C220 so that I can reach the brake switch, though I have unscrewed all the visible screws, I still could not get the lower cover out. Any advice will be greatly appreciated and thank you.

Any use.

Hi Dec, thank you very much, the video certainly helped on the second part where I wanted to reach at, to replace the brake switch, but I just could not remove the dash bottom panel. Though all the visible screws have been removed, the hand brake and the hood release handles were out of their positions, when I tried to remove the panel, only the side where the hand brake and hood release handle is became loose but not the other side, it just stuck there unmoved. I dared not to pry it worrying that I might damage some plastic catches or something else inside. If you can find other info, I certainly would like to hear them and thank you in advance.

It might be the lower heater vent as pictured below, it wasn’t mentioned in the video.

As your car is 1994 I don’t think you have that screw in the picture but you may have a much larger “peg” that requires a quarter turn (with a coin) to the left or right in order to remove that vent in picture. Picture is of a left hand drive car.

Hi Dec, after viewing the slides, I confirmed that I have done it right, the plastic screw and peg, screws, hand brake and hood release handles and vent panel were all removed. The lower cover must have been stuck in catches or something, I shall give it another good push tomorrow and let you know the result. Thank you very very much for your help.

Just in case you have trouble with the right side below is how it comes off.
Copy the picture, it wont be there tomorrow.

Awesome pic, the catch must be the culprit, I should be able to get it out tomorrow! FYI, I didn't find any message in the Dropbox it said that the file has been removed or deleted, your post was 12:59 p.m. i accessed it just past midnight! Anyway, thank you very much.

How to remove the lower cover under the dashboard?

Hi Dec, I have got the lower cover out. It was not the catch. it was an 8mm hex. head screw that hold up the other side of the cover. The hex. head screw was hide inside a deep hole. I have taken photos and hope that it may be helpful for others. Once again, thank you very much for your help.
