(hope I'm using the new Detailing forum correctly)

This morning driving in to the sun rise I noticed 1000's of fine scratches on my windscreen.
I've used Autogylm products before but wondered if there was anything else that members can recommend.
I don't have an electric polisher, so a product suitable for hand application would be preferred.

Thanks.

Theres quite a good polish made by a company called G Techniq (i think H13BS M knows a bit about them). They have a polish called G4 Polishing // G|Techniq which you can apply by hand using a normal cloth. You could possibly follow this with a coat of their G1 or G3 which is like a 100 times better than rainx for repelling water off your windscreen.

As above, really good products, and easily match nanolex for a better price. When taking scratches out of glass i tend to go for machine glass polish and a lake country glass pad on the g220. Always works well, followed up by some good protection!

Ok just read your post properly and realised you don't want anything that involves machine polishing, so ignore my help!lol

Believe it or not, you can use wire wool on windscreens (sounds crazy, I know) PROVIDED you buy "4 zero" 0000 grade by a reputable mob like Liberon.

I use it for applying beeswax polish to a solid mahogany dining table and other solid wood furniture like rosewood and teak.

Try it - you'll be amazed how fine it is!
