Hello, I'm desperately trying to get a Christmas present for my boyfriend who owns a GLC 63 and I would be so grateful for any help.
On the side of his car it says V8 BITURBO (in black) and underneath it says 4MATIC+ in white. There is an orange ring around the 4MATIC+ part. The black letter T from BITURBO has fallen off thanks to an overenthusiastic car washer and couldn't be found.
The local (non Mercedes) garage have said that they can't replace it because it isn't a standard Mercedes part as they don't make that lettering in black. I've tried contacting Mercedes myself but can't get through to anyone who seems to know the answer.
So my first question which I'm hoping you might be able to answer it - would the car have come with that lettering or is it correct that it isn't done by Mercedes and must be something a previous owner added themselves? Anyone bought one of these new and it had black lettering on it? If so, I will continue to persevere in contacting Mercedes parts department!
And secondly - if not, any suggestions on where to get a replacement letter T? I've seen them on Ebay but don't want to buy poor quality or something the wrong size.
I've added a picture in case it helps...
Many thanks!
