My God, those wheels are utterly ghastly.

Never mind the alloys....look at that interior

What a way to be contentious. hehe ;)

I have to say I quite like the red leather, especially with a black exterior.

Those wheels dont cost anywhere near £5k, their the same wheels Olly has on his w202.

As for red interior, i think you can get away with it on an SL. A friend has the same interior in a black SL350, it looks stunning.

Not so keen on it but changing the wheels dont really ruin it, its not hard to swop em back.

I'm going to be in the minority but I like the wheels and the interior.

make that a minority of 2 then

the wheels look like a car i cant remember, maybe slightly SLK ish

would look better in black as the red leather is nice with black

quiet a nice car

The wheels resemble something from the Lexus SC430?

That is hideous too!

As for the red interior, its a brave choice but it works, particularly with certain colours - black definately and silver a bit more controversial. I toyed with the option of a red interior on my last BMW 335d Coupe, but I decided against it. It does work well with some BMW colours though.

red interior in a silver car has a fine pedigree, I think it looks great.

Ade, you piccy hasn't loaded properly :(

I admit red leather looks good in the right car....for example; an SLR Mclaren, or Gullwing Merc looks good.

But I've always thought it doesn't look quite right in an R230 SL.

I did say I was being contentious....looks like it worked ;) LOL :D

Not a fan of aftermarket wheels generally, but those aren't too bad. They don't suit the R230 in the way they do Olly's W202, on which they look bob on IMHO.

Maybe if it sat a little lower it would look more at ease with itself? Without lowering, it just draws attention to the fact the wheels are aftermarket.
