How to turn sat nav volume up

I have a 2001 CLK430 Avantgarde with Comand. What is the trick for making the sat nav volume louder? She is so quiet and I've tried the instructions in the handbook but she just isn't loud enough, even with the radio etc off!

Turn the volume up whilst she is speaking. This should set it to a new level. On some versions it can also be preset using the settings menu

Tell her you are off down the pub with your mates. That will make her scream & shout.
