Got a radio, blaupunkt Bremen RCM 43. The previous owner los tthe code? Card? There is an orange card on it, but I cannot pull it out, its stuck in it?
Also the sound system is not working as I don't have the code. It says on the radio manual that I need to go to a specialist to unlock it. I have search for a blaupunkt specialist here but couldn't find any.
Does anyone knows what to do, how they work etc...
Thank you.

Cheers. But before I go login in etc... I have to say that I cannot type anything on the radio, I cannot access the radio as its locked, nothing work. Would this be helpfull?
Its new to me and look like an extra pain...
Thank you.

Thank you :)
I got the first one all right but this is a "I come to you " type of guy, before I invest on anything I prefer to go to a shop and have a word with the tech guys.
The second one is good then, but I think its a "home" sound and vision thingy from what I recall passing by, but hey, I can get there and ask them.
Thank you :)
This is a really old system with tape player, no one laugh please, and CD in the boot... This is why if the guy who come around charge 30 to say hello and unlock the system, there is no point, a new nice CD player can be 50 quids with all comoddities, like CD in the cabin, not the boot...

The first one is a car audio shop ?

The second one says :-

Car radio decoding and repair

Whether the radio is from an old ’89 fiesta to current Vauxhall – we can deal with it. There is no need to have the electronic keyfob or Sony remote once the unit has been decoded.
We have the facility to decode, unlock and reprogram nearly any radio on the market today within 5-15 mins. There is no need to remove from car – we do all the work . We also operate a ‘by mail’ service.

There's no investment , they are quoting £15-20 for a decode

went to the audio shop this morning, it was close.
I'll call again later :)

I haven't used it myself, but others on here have and say it's OK.

Radio Codes

I used this website recently to get the code for my wife's Fiesta radio. Worked perfectly:thumb:

The website above will give you the code without a problem. All you have to do is get the serial number of the radio which should be on a sticker on the back/underside.
Once you have this serial number, register on the site, find your radio from the list given, and enter that serial number. You should get the code immediately, for no cost, which is all good in my book.

If you have trouble removing your radio to get the serial number, I believe it's possible Mercedes can give you that info.

The system the OP is describing is different to pretty much everything else out there, but it's possible they still will be able to help.

Inherited a C250TD a few years back from my grandmother that had the same Blaupunkt system (in fact I think it is still in the loft). There was a grey card you inserted into the bottom of it that acted as the radio code. When the card was removed, there was a transparent orange tab that stuck out of the slot to warn it wasn't there and that the system wouldn't work.

He will almost definitely need a new card, but I don't know if they can only be supplied by the manufacturer.

I went to the above shop, it told me I need the cards to make it work, if I don't have those the system is not going to work appparently... You need the specific card for the specific radio as they are coded, and blaupunkt do not supply them anymore.

Thank you.
I have the manual and it says that:
""After 16 attempts to enter the correct code the unit shuts off permanently and must be decoded by one of out authorised service partner.""
I think this is what is happening. The radio was like this went I got the car, I guess the previous owner tried too many times...

also:
""This car radio cannot be operated unless the personnal key card is inserted... ""
Oopss...
