I have a W166 ML250 with AMG brakes. Is there anyway of winding back the piston on the rear caliper because the tool I use normally slips through the hole in the caliper but this caliper seems to blanked off.

Thanks

Can you not carefully pry against the old pads - either using the tool you have or a wedge ie large flat pry tool (eg large flathead screwdriver!)

The problem is the piston needs to be would back like a screw which is why I need the tool. I hate modern cars!

Take the caliper slide pins out and split it . possibly ?? Need a pic of the rear tbh.

I have a caliper piston wind back tool set from Machine mart that covers just about every caliper you can think of. Cost me about £45.00 I think and has never failed to wind a piston back yet.

The piece with Mercedes Benz wrote on it, just comes off, as it's part of the anti-rattle clip.

Then you can push your usual tool through the revealed aperture.

No it will not wind in, you need to put them in service mode first.
Re connect the power and its in the cluster.
