it is not wholly 210 front end, it's got the early 129 front bumper and lower spoiler.

Maybe if it was crash damaged, the parts were available, and the skills ready and waiting then, it was no doubt a good idea.
I don't personally find it offensive, in fact I find it quite intriguing, but I wouldn't do a part-conversion to my car.
