I got banned from the fry up police on Facebook for referring to sausages as 'snorks' ! Lol

Didn't want to be banned , so the penalty is to hold up a note.

Does no one else call them snorks then ?

is an old WW2 term isn't it? but thought it was snorkers, not snorks. A lawyer I worked with years ago told me about the Cruel Sea and his favourite line "snorkers, good oh", so since then I have referred to them as the same, often got strange looks saying that in NZ, even here sideways glances are common, so not current vernacular I assume.
