I have recently moved back to UK from living in Turkey for past 16 years and looking at buying a clk230 convertible on a 2002 plate. (Not that there's much sun around Newcastle of late )

Hoping to glean some info on reliability and what i should look out for in respect of purchasing the car as have found a nice one from a very reliable dealer locally with superb feedback dealing in prestige marks. Some idea of what servicing costs are like as What Car define one of the downsides of the vehicle being high in service costs although a local garage specialising in Mercedes have quoted what i consider reasonable at 120gbp for small service and circa 200gbp for large service.

Fethiye in the main but pretty much moved around over the years and lived also in Aydin, Kusadasi, Hisaronu, Calis. Must say am missing the weather ;-)

Less sun and fewer golden beaches but also significantly fewer tourists in Newcastle too………I making the mental leap based on these places being holiday destinations in the main.

yes, they are apart from Aydin - i lived in a village for 5 years only foreigner there but at least i learnt the lingo

Far too close to Lakeside and the bridge for my liking……..in my defence, I was here long before either were but I have no defence for the obstinacy that stopped me from moving.
