cheers...look..I was not trying to be smart or funny.been around the Vehicle Industry a long time and know a fare bit about the ins and outs of it all. I asked you what MPG you were grtting from the Merc, and your answer was that you did not know, as the vehicles Audiometre was not working!!! this is not something you would want to buy or swap into...as it can be a recipee for disaster.
Thank you for your time, and good luck to you.

I know you have been around the vehicle industry along time Danny. So I guess you knew rough MGPs for Mercedes anyway.

So my 124s, all diesels, do between 25 (if I'm towing) up to 42 if I'm driving like Granny. No ground breaking news there for you I'm sure.

You loved the forum name suggested by a forum member for you after you bought your Vito so we do respond to your posts now and again.

Good Luck to you too Danny.

I'm sure the statement was made by Danny...but by some one else and he's bemused.

That's kind of what I thought - except I am not sure I totally understand what the guy means.

Unless post #1 is actually #2 and that is the reply.

Looks like a quote to me - the title has a ? in it - he's sharing the statement with us.

Who's Maria?;)

I think the person making the statement was interested in buying a vehicle from (don't know) but on asking about MPG was advised that the seller didn't know because the odometer was not working. On that basis the potential buyer backed out because the lack of a working odometer could be a can of worms, and he would not wish to buy the vehicle or swap into the vehicle.

Clear??

Well, that's 5 minutes of my life I won't get back! :dk::dk::dk:

I was reading more interesting threads though, really should have unsubscribed to this thread. Oh well, another 5 minutes wasted! :rolleyes:

Well jaysus thanks for stealing my thunder and also for explaining it much quicker than i was going to :) Nail on the head really. My funny bit was the fact that she said " I know the ins and outs and and cheers...look..I was not trying to be smart or funny.been around the Vehicle Industry a long time and know a fare bit about the ins and outs of it all. " I wondered to myself was she a cleaner in the dealers or what ?

Reminds me of the post a day or two ago by Horgantrevor saying " I'm a sparks" Then he talks about water egress. I'm not a sparks, i'm not a mechanic but if i don't know i say it.

I was talking about a swap with the people for discovery, they had full SH i have none. I told her the clock broke after it was tested a few months back and she accused my car of being clocked. To which i laughed and replied how can it be clocked if the clock doesn't work ?

I said thanks and she sent that back, i'm tempted to ask about the audiometer though.

Please:bannana: take time to comment on the new thread coming up
