The first thing I did was to lower lower door window to gain access to the "C" clip.Fold the door mirror forward to expose the "C" shaped clip.
Then with a flat bladed screwdriver insert between the clip and the plastic stop and move the clip away from the stop by turning the screwdriver thro 90 degrees. Not to go too far.Note the small lug to the left of the screwdriver before and after turning thro 90 degrees. Then you can let the mirror return to rest position.
All thats needed now is to slide off the cover.
Exposed unit.
To remove the mirror assy there are 3 screws.Just undo them by folding the mirror forward to undo number 1 screw first then its safe to undo 2 & 3.
All thats left is to disconnect the multipin connectors.
Component parts.
Putting it back together is just as easy.Connect up the multipin connectors, screw in screws 2 & 3 first then do screw 1.To replace the mirror cover make sure the "C" clip is pushed back to the original locked position (picture 1) so the cover will automatically lock into position when slid over.
