The additional side and sill nets showing in the picture above are these:

Side Cargo Net Part Number B67660062

Sill Cargo net Part Number B67660061

But they do not require the fitting of the eyelets.

The side and sill nets work really well. They are in fact a double net each with an opening at the top, effectively acting as large 'pockets' allowing the transportation of items practically in suspension. There's a warning though that it is not suitable for holding bottles.

The total expenditure buying the parts directly from MB dealer was around £140 (parts only and DIY fitting) which some may consider quite high, however I am extremely pleased with the end result.

Thanks markjay I bought the net months ago so was wondering why no fittings came with it.

Just to clarify, I need to order 2x each of the 3 part numbers above?

Many thanks :)

In order to retrofit lashing eyelets, two of each of items pictured in post #2 above are required (i.e. two front eyelets, two bolts for the front eyelets, and two rear eyelets).
Each part number is for a bag containing ONE unit only.

Notes regarding cargo nets:

1. The floor cargo net hooks to the lashing eyelets. The eyelets are therefore a must for the floor net.

2. The side nets do not hook to the lashing eyelets, they come with their own four fittings, two for the top and two for the bottom. The side nets can therefore be fitted regardless of whether the car is equipped with lashing eyelets or not.

3. The sill net comes with its own two fitting for the top part, and the instructions recommend that the bottom of the sill net is hooked to the lashing eyelets. However, this is optional - the bottom of the sill net can be left hanging loose (securing the hooks back onto the net). Also, the side nets share the fitting at the top with the sill net, meaning that where both side net and sill net are purchased, one fitting for each side is left in the bag as spare.

The part numbers above are for C-Class Saloon W203 1999-2007, however the same setup is available for many other models e.g Sport Coupe, CLC, etc. The principal is the same, it is just a question of finding the correct part numbers for the eyelets and for the nets for the specific model of car.

The photo for "fitting the forward eyelets" is a dead link. Any way you could re-post it?

Seems like the W203 photos are no longer there... can't repost because I did not keep them. Anyways... moving on to: retrofitting eyelets for internal boot cargo net on W204. Watch this space - part numbers and photos to be posted soon.

First you will obviously need the luggage net itself:

A 204 868 03 74 - Luggage Net

Then you will need:

4 x Lashing eyelet

4 x Bolt

2 x Cover (colour-coded) - only 2 covers are listed on EPC because only the eyelets near the boot lip come with covers as standard, though you can obviously have all four with covers if you wish to.

There are several ways of ordering these parts, depending on availability, see part numbers below:

A 204 860 21 14 9051 - Lashing eyelet, Bolt, and Cover (black)

A 000 868 15 39 9051 or A 204 849 12 03 9051 - Cover (black) only, NO Lashing eyelet, NO Bolt

A 204 860 24 14 - Lashing eyelet, Bolt, NO Cover

A 210 984 09 29 - Bolt only, NO Lashing eyelet, NO Cover

Now fitted.

See comments below. The bolt is M14 and requires T40 Torx head.

First you will obviously need the luggage net itself:

The documentation that came with the net actually says it is for 'S204/S205' (Estate). It fitted well so not sure in what way the W204/W205 (Saloon) net would have been any different. This merits some further investigation though....

OK, the reason EPC is showing qty 2 for the covers is that they can't be fitted over the eyelets that are located near the rear the bench, there just isn't enough room for them. This also explained why the lashing eyelet kit is available with and without the cover: 2 x 'with' are for the eyelets near the boot lip, 2 x 'without' are for the eyelets near the rear bench :thumb:

Also, when fitted, the eyelets near the rear bench prevent the spare wheel cover (i.e. the boot mat) from being removed from the car altogether. It can still be tilted upwards as it normally does, but if the entire mat is to be removed from the vehicle then these two eyelets will need to be removed first.

Photos to follow....

A 204 868 00 74 - Luggage Net for W204/W205 (Saloon)

The dimensions are slightly different, and while it fits, the Estate net is somewhat overstretched in the Saloon.
