I'm looking for a portable printer with a battery for the rally - HP's 450, 460 and 470 seem to fit the bill...

Does anyone have any experience with these?

Hello

Will confirm the model numbers at work as we have a few of these small HP devices, you can opt to buy it with a hard case to protect it I would get this given the nature of what your doing. OOh and of course lots of inc etc. I think we also have wireless ones in the same range.

There's also the Canon Pixma iP100

Available with/without a battery.

I believe you can get a car adapter for it.

Have you thought about a car 12V to 230V inverter and a small 'ordinary' printer that you can afford to lose if it doesn't survive.

I don't really need a 12v printer - we have a mini generator :p

It's more size I'm concerned about - and a battery would mean we can operate with just a laptop silently... behind a customs hut for example :p

Depending upon what you need to print how about the small photo printers also?

Guess you could print on normal paper to these (athough they are small 5*7)
