Totally off topic but this site is brill :D
Type in a UK location or even a detailed address and this site will show old maps (Circa late 1800's) for that area. The best feature by far though is a current day aerial photo option :) The only gripe is that the aerial photos only cover England and Wales  Check out what your house looks like from the air! :)

Cool! Thanks for posting that.

Not much existed where my house stands now.

I find that for the aerial photos that zoom level 2 is best as the pictures get a bit pixellated on zoom level 1. I also like level 5 as that captures the widest area :D

I thought you guys would appreciate the site, I've already wasted/spent a bit of time there since discovering it yesterday. :o

I've got various overhead shots of where I live/work/used to live with parents/studied at Uni hehehe. :bannana: :bannana:

Cool. And I thought I might actually do some work this afternoon!!! :D

Shame there's no aerial views of Scotland though.

Yeah, that's a bit of a major omission imho. I was looking for aerial shots of Irvine when it came back with the "sorry, no can do" message. Least I could see that Irvine was all fields back in the late 1800's :p

Can tell the current day aerial photos for my area are a few years out of date as they don't even have my house on them either!!
