I achieved what i thought was the impossible...

Well on my drive into work this morning, i did something that i never thought was possible....


not only did i managed to meet the manufactures fuel consumption figures, i managed to exceed it.

My route in is combined between slow, city traffic, free moving winding country lanes and a short duel carriageway blast.

Mercedes quotes figures of 40.4mpg on a combined cycle. I managed to achieve 40.7 mpg.

On Saturday Drove my CLK 320 from Warwick to Yeovil to visit Daughter No1, with Mrs Ted, Daughter No2, Daughter No1, and dog.
Went via Evesham, and cruise set for indicated 75 on dual carriageways and motorway.
As it was early, the M5 was almost totally clear, so an easy run.

At the Taunton turnoff the trip consumption was 36.0 mpg!!

Damn well done Mercedes!!
