I.c.e for c250 coupe

Am picking up my new, C250 coupe in a few days and silly me, I didn't choose the HK sound system. I only have the Becker unit and standard sound system, having said that, are there any aftermarket kits or recommended head units etc that will go well with the coupe?

I would not get too upset. We have the HK system on the SLK and its really not worth the money. Live with the standard system for a while before worrying about an upgrade.

Stick with the existing head unit, and talk to Comand (Europe) about speaker upgrades, and then potentially an amp and subwoofer depending on your personal listening preferences and what priorities you have.

The standard speakers aren't great - and improving those will give a very significant improvement. There are tweaks that can be done on existing head unit to match it better with any speaker changes.

Changing the head unit to an aftermarket singe DIN unit is possible (but won't integrate with the instrument cluster display, or use the existing display) but I really wouldn't do that.

p.s i'd advise you to live with the existing unit for at least a month so you can really work out what you like/don't like about it.
