I don't like the new yahoo website

I used to really like the old yahoo website,
but now they have changed the homepage (well months ago, actually) I really dislike it. This is mainly because of the way it pops tings up all over your screen as you roll your mouse around.

Does anybody else agree? Is there a way to switch off this popup behaviuor?

It's not a big improvement on the old one.

The thing that has always annoyed me about yahoo is that there is no "audible" new mail alert - even the pathetic AOL had that in operation.
