I don't want my leather shiney !!!

Has anyone got any tips on how to "de shine " as it were, leahter ?
At 16 years old my SLK seats shine like a pair if new shoes and I slide all over the drivers seat in spirited cornering, there must be a way to get the matt finish back ................ is'nt there ?
