After getting new fronts on the CLS it dives for the kerb more so than ever before (it used to gently drift but the tyres are huge and its to be expected) the wheel is straight when going straight but once i take my hands off it it we go left.

I cant live with it and I am conscious that not every garage can set up the different "AMG" suspension on the CLS55 luckily Inchcape Chester have a machine that does it - apparently not every MB garage has one but they have and when it goes in for a service Im having it done at a slightly sickening £230 plus £100 more if it needs extra work (nearly the cost of the two tyres).

If it brings back the agility and surefootedness Im missing it will be money (reluctantly) well spent

Google wheels in motion cost a lot less, was iirc £140 for my car with some new bolts, bloke is a member on here so will prob be along soon.

Done approx 4 k so far and all tyres are wearing perfectly square and even very happy.

Get it done soon as my tyres were pefectly legal when i went to France and 1500 miles later the inners of both fronts were to the cords.

Wheels in motion are a bit far for me - the CLS went into MB today and has come back much better however I am sure the new tyres have amplified the built in left pull that was always there - glad is better anyway

A friend of mine works for MB, he says MB spec is set to pull to the left. he had a car in from MBUK (mystry shopper), he said the geometry was out and corrected it to his own spec. He was later called into the office to explain his actions. He suggested they drive the car, and when they did they were shocked to find it did not pull.

So it can be done, but its down to the person carrying out the work.

Its much better now and I can live with it - after the service my "new" rear tyres were reported as down to 3mm !! in fact they are 12 months old and rears will never last that long on a AMG I guess.

I hope the whole pulling issue doesnt start again when I swap them

Suggest always putting the new tyres on the rear and moving the rears to the front - good practice anyway and at least it means that only part worn tyres are having their edges scrubbed.
Know what you mean about driving a car that pulls to the left it is a right pita. It does seem to be a characteristic of MB but it is poss to set them up so they dont do it.

.

245 front and 275 rear otherwise I would

Both our cars have staggered wheel set ups and the look on peoples faces when you tell them this makes me smile! as its always after they say they swap their wheels front to back which i cant see the point of as instead of needing two tyres you will need 4 in one go.

Mine doesnt pull to the left it used to but wim work sorted that.

Wifes 203 pulls to the left so that needs doing now.
