I just bought an MB AUDIO 30 APS

Hey cyberflex, buddy.
Yeah I'm really happy, I got off easy when I installed my APS30.
The device is still working perfect, I get more and more happier everytime I drive my AMG!

topdown
I hope you get the problem with the radio solved instaling it in your ML jeep.

Hi,

This Audio 30 I have needs a canbus input for 'ignition on' and 'lights on' so I need a canbus emulator like this with small modification.

Comand Online Ltd :: Mercedes SatNav/COMAND :: COMAND Retrofit parts :: W163 last ML :: Canbus & CD Adapter for W163 ML etc

This information is from the guys at comandonline.

The W163 does not provide Canbus signals to the radio.

Thanks for your help.

now you now to avoid US buildt Mercs.:wallbash:
they don't give you canbus from Tuscaloosa !

which model do you have on aps30?
4715 or 4716?

I have been to that site many times, I have never clicked on W163, so never saw it.
That is a clever device. Nice.
Well Done Topdown mate.

Hi Mr. kowalski:thumb:

Yeah, how you doin' Mr.Cyberflex?

It's Mr. Stanley Kowalski to you young lad!:bannana::rock::thumb:
Popping pills and driving a Challenger in the middle of nowhere, that's sick!
Going bananas on the roads.

To bad some MB owners experiance difficulties when retrofitting new Head units and
needing to ad extra devices to make the radios work properly.
That's frustrating.

Cheers
Cheers

I'm doin' fine 'stan',
This thread has had 1000 views, mainly by me and you.....:D
Stan, nice to hear you are enjoying life, living on the 'edge' as it were...
On a serious note, yes it is frustrating, but I think it is great that the lads at 'Comand Online' have taken the time to design stuff that helps the community. Good eh.
Anyways, before we get in trouble for misusing an otherwise helpful and informational thread, I will say ta,ta, old buddy, old chum. (stan) LOL....

hey bud.
I've been out drivin' my Benzito today and almost crashed my car because of a dumb f--- driver, running a red light!
Lucky for me I have great brakes on my C43, even though if I had crashed my car it wouldn't have been my fault, so getting new front parts ain't that bad at all on the other guys expense!
But I was going home from the supermarket full of groceries so thank god nothing happened.

Trouble shooters are great.
They can fix almost anything.
I bet that in UK there are several shops specialising in trick gadgets to make it easier to install different electronics in newer cars.

Here in Sweden in my city it's hard to find shops that carry adapters for different electronics!
For newer cars like my old 1999 C43  before 99 it must be easier to install electronics that are not depended on D2B, after 1998 must be a biage to install electronics that will integrate with the rest of the factory units?

Ta ta and cheerio :thumb:

I've been brousing da intanet for some parts.
I found this antenna cover.
Mercedes-Benz Roof Antenna Kit: Bekkers.com Driiv Autosport

Now that I have retrofitted my APS 30, if I install the antenna with the hausing on my ruuf, do I need to remove the inner ruuf lining to re-wire new antenna cables for my APS 30 deck?

Or is it only to glue the new hat on the roof with my existing non navigator wires from my old tapedeck?

Hello guys,
can anyone tell me which device has better sound quaility for my w208 ( i have Bose).
I have just bought the Audio 30 aps, but is the Audio 10 Alpine any better?
Besides that, is there any posibility to make it run with aux?
Thanks in advance!
