This has already been mentioned on a 'replace your thermostat' thread but I thought I'd share it here...
On Saturday I went to my local dealer for a fuel pipe for my W203 C270, and was given the little card reader to put my Visa card in the slot and key my PIN number in.
I have the slip in front of me, they were trying to charge me £237,600.00!!!!!
No doubt the Daily Mail could come along and photo me outside the gate, holding the slip and doing a 'sad face', but when I pointed out the fact that the number seemed a bit on the long side, the transaction was canceled and a new slip done for £23.76.
