What a bargain, why are you selling?

What will be your replacement wheels?

That seems like tremendous value for money as a track day car.

I've recommended the car to a couple of mates in the market for a weekend car.

Awesome! If I had the money; you know what I'd be spending it on! :)

It's very impressive in action, having seen it at Goodwood, and unless you are looking inside at close quarters, it looks like a normal CLK from quite close up.

For someone wanting a very capable trackday car, this is a bargain. With what are you going to replace it, Jon?

Thanks all. To be honest, I have no idea what can replace it for sheer drama. Don't know how long I'll be able to live with just a Fiesta diesel though, so probably something soon (and track friendly).

If the VED is £245 a year, then surely this cannot be an original C55 AMG.
It must have been converted to big AMG spec at some time during its life.
This is not mentioned in the spec.
    Or am I wrong ??

Since when did an AMG C55 have CO2 emissions below 200g/km ?

I pay £260 even on my lowly C200K with 223g/km.

Full and proper explanation required please.

My CLK55 is the same - £245 per year (registered September 2001)

It's cars post 2004 that get stung badly I think.

Apologies to the OP and The Don.

    I stand corrected.

I think it is March 23rd 2006 when the new band system started when VED moved from c£245 to c£445 if you are over 225g/km.

Very nice, good luck with the sale, it's a bargain at that price.

Yes it's 03/2006 plus, I paid £460 for 12 months tax, what a rip off!:(

290g/km iirc. Yep, hurrah for it being before the ved rate change :)

If £460 seems high for a years rent , check out the Irish road tax rates .
Your car would be 1566 euro a year , and any AMG regestered after 2008 cost 2200 euro a year .
