Gixxer 6, Citroen Berlingo, 911 C4S, Dacia Duster and lots of bicycles.
My 8 year old has recently bought herself an I Pad mini.

Sadly today it went for a burton over the balcony and the screen has cracked. It's all still in place and also works but for obvious reasons we would like (if possible) to repair it.

Any idea's?

Apple store

I've had two after market replacement screens on my iPhone...they don't perform like the OE.
I'm a little surprised Apple haven't been more helpful re price, they have a rep for being very good with retail customer relations, perhaps you should try another Apple store.

they dn't repair but will swap for new (or poss refurbished) approx £200

It may well be covered on your home insurance if you have accidental damage

or try somewhere like this

Yup. This was our solution.

Apple are famed for their customer service, but I have yet to see it as anything special. I can't really complain as they've always sorted stuff which was my fault, but always at a cost...

Do it yourself pal I have done a few ipads, ipods and phones, its much easier than you think.

iPad Mini Wi-Fi LCD Replacement - iFixit

You can replace the 'iopener' beanbag with a hairdryer to gently warm the adhesive, it will work just as well (plenty of video guides ).

Much cheaper !
