I want one!

I've driven the GT-R and it is truly immensely mind bogglingly quick. In fact it was driving that which made me decide I needed more power in my life and led me to the C55.

+2 Nissan!

I've never driven a GTR, but I'm not all that convinced by it. Yes, it's superbly cabable, but that's because of some pretty fancy trickery. In everyday life, how many times do you need that acceleration/deceleration or want to pull 1.4G in a corner?

I'll keep my E class and the Porsche, thanks very much.

The Porsche may not be as quick or as technically advanced as the GTR, but I don't want it to be.

In everyday life, you hardly "need" a 911 CS4 either to be fair though do you.

I'd also rather have a CS4 over a GT-R if I had to chose between the two, just because of the residuals, ergonomics and the quality / reliability. However, I'd advocate anyone having a go in a GT-R if they can. It truly is in a different class to anything else you might have driven in terms of outright performance.

GT-R every time!

My work colleague had a R33 tweaked to 1100bhp, to say it was fast was an understatement! You know when Captain Kirk says "Engage" ........ :D

I've put 4,500 miles on the Porsche since I bought it in late May, so "need" is a relative term here. A 911 is an "every day" sort of a car (in my opinion), whereas the GTR's abilities would be mostly unused in your normal day-to-day driving.

Haha, I had an R33 GTR at 450bhp and loved it. Friends used to say it didn't need a speedo, it needed a calendar :D

I would still definitely have a Merc for trips out with the Wifey & Kids but dollars permitting a GTR would be certainly be the weekend Starship!
